I must say That I have never done it before an I would say that photographing the moon was more difficult than I first tought.
1.- It is far away.
2.- it moves
3.- it is bright, and easily overexposes covering the craters.
4.- if no tripod arround, even harder. but anyway this is the best I could get afer some experimenting. I think I will try that again some other day. I hope you like this one.
That's a fantastic photo! I took some shots of the moon a while ago, I'll have to upload them tomorrow or something! It is so great, but you're right. Without a tri-pod it's difficult. I ended up with my tri-pod out, and just trying different settings, until I got a good one. (:
